Hometown: Surrey, BC.
Education: Diploma in technical theatre from Capilano University.
What are your professional roles in the industry?
I’m a Stage Manager and a Theatre Technician with Surrey Civic Theatres!
What inspired you to pursue a career in theatre?
The community and the creativity! The joy it brought me from a young age pushed me to pursue a career that would be challenging but very rewarding.
Who or what has had the greatest influence on your creativity?
My biggest influence in my career thus far is none other than my high school theatre director, Kayla Gardner. Her kindness, dedication and her passion towards her work (as a director and as a teacher) has been inspiring me since I was barely 14 years old.
I never planned on going into theatre, but she showed me how amazing the medium is. So grateful to have someone like her as my inspiration and have her as a friend as my career progresses.
Which plays and musicals have you worked on?
Stage Manager:
- A Christmas Carol and Alice By Heart (CapU Theatre)
- An Uncomfortable Conversation (Fringe Fest)
- Shakespeare in Love (Metro Theatre)
Assistant Manager:
- Clue (CapU Theatre)
- 9-5 the Musical (Royal City Musical Theatre)
- Cricket on the Hearth (United Players)
Spotlight Operator:
- Anastasia, Mary Poppins, Sister Act (Theatre In The Country)
- SpongeBob the Musical (CapU Theatre)
Career goals?
My overall goal is to pursue Stage Management as my career to a level that allows we to travel to new places, and work in as many theatres as possible, with as many people as possible! More specifically, I want to work on Phantom Of The Opera one day!
