What inspired you to pursue a career in theatre?
During my BFA, I volunteered time in the theatre department and was lucky enough to assist a few professional designers (Gary Thorne, Bill Rasmussen) who convinced me to pursue an MFA in Theatre design. I came to UVic on a fellowship and moved to Vancouver shortly after.
Who or what has had the greatest influence on your creativity?
I believe my background in visual arts, art history and a general interest in architecture and design has been the most beneficial; and many years of hands on work in the film industry and theatre have given me quite a broad range of skills.
