Hometown: I was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario until the age of 12, when I moved to Campbell River on Vancouver Island.

Education: I have been acting since the age of 12, but I only recently started my official training at Capilano University in their musical theatre program in September of 2022.

Why did you decide to become an actor?
At first I didn’t choose to be an actor, it was my mother that put me in my first production (Sound of Music) as they didn’t have enough children. However, I quickly fell in love with the energy and the people.

What do you love about theatre?
I love theatre because of the community around it. It’s not just about the actors on stage, but the involvement of the crew backstage, the people who help build the sets and costumes, the MD conducting the band, the directors, the writers and composers. Everyone that comes together is what makes a show great.

Plays/musicals you’ve been in?
In June 2022, I directed and starred in my company’s production of Ruthless the Musical (in the role of Sylvia St. Croix). Afterwards, I acted in a CYMC’s (Comox Valley Youth Music centre) production of Newsies (in the role of Davey).

I started my schooling at CapU in the Fall of 2022 and my next role was at Theatre Under The Stars in their production of Matilda the Musical in 2023 (in the role of the Doctor/ Sergei).

I finished my 2nd year at CapU performing in their blackbox production of the ThreePenny Opera (in the role of Mr Peachum). My next show will be Alice by Heart on the BlueShore stage at CapU (in the role of Alfred/White Rabbit).

These are some other theatre projects I have recently worked on:

Directed:

•Ruthless the musical at Ryver’s House (June 2022)

•Vanities the Musical at Ryver’s House (June 2024)

Assistant Directed:

•Romeo and Juliet at CapU (November 2024)

In pit bands:

•Cabaret at CapU (December 2022)

•Cats the musical at Theatre Under The Stars (Summer 2024)

Career goal?
I would like to someday open a performance venue and rehearsal space called Ryver’s House where all the arts can come together under one roof.
